Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog

Thing 4 – Blogs

The blogs that I read contained so much interesting and applicable information!  It is a relief to learn about RSS and permalinks and to know that there is an easy way of storing, tracking and revisiting information that was of most value to me (although I still worry that I will try to track way more information than I will ever be able to refer back to.)  At first I even started to “cut and Paste” info into a word document – until I got to Shelley’s video on permanlinks and realized that there is a much better way.  I was particularily interested in Chris Betcher’s Blog “the myth of the digital native” – and what he had to say about students use of Google.  I also loved the blog “Duck with a blog” – take a look at some of their really funny responses!  What a great way to encourage creative writing – and a fun alternayive to journal writing.
